Biography
Gitanjali Deen is an alumna and founding member of Vocal Youth Miami. Her love for music began young, with a home full of song and a family legacy in music, as the granddaughter of world-renowned Indian tabla player Pandit Sharda Sahai.
At age 9, Gitanjali joined Vocal Youth Miami, where her passion for singing deepened, and she experienced music’s healing power. Now, at 22, she channels her connection to music through songwriting and often uses music as a tool to promote mental well-being.
Gitanjali recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts and Psychology from Florida International University and plans to pursue a Master’s in Psychology. In 2024, she joined the Vocal Youth Miami team as a Kindermusik instructor, blending her background in psychology with Kindermusik’s developmental approach. Gitanjali strives to create a compassionate, nurturing environment for her students, fostering growth through music education.
